SuSe 9.1-gecko browser w/ kde

Am using SuSe 9.1 with kde and am happy with it, except for being unable to access many sites, mostly secure sites, that require gecko based browsers. I tried having Konqueror identify itself as Mozilla, but it didn't work. I have used Firefox 1.0 on Win and liked it a lot, but have been reluctant to install it my my suse machine as all I see are problems by those who already have. I would like to stick to my current set-up except for those sites that require gecko. Can anybody suggest a gecko based browser that I can install with Yast that is functional, stable, and bulletproof? TIA, mike

I don't know SuSe or Yast but you could try Mozilla (aka Mozilla Suite). It has been around longer. The 1.7 version seems to be pretty stable. Although I haven't had any problems with Firefox on Slackware and Ubuntu myself.
