In fact, I always keep 10GB of spare space cause I like testing other stuff. If you're shhort of space don't do it. If you still plan to install other distros it may be advisable to create partitions correspondingly

what about swap partition? Again if unsure, give little less to Slackware, because you're installing SuSE now.

my 2nd hd is 16.1gb i can cut it anyway you say...
how much should i give suse?
and use the rest for slackware??
does slack have dvd cos i don't have anymore cdr's...

Leave empty unformatted partition for slackware about 5GB for testing reasons.
And as for Slackware, no, no DVDs, only 2CDs of Full Install. But don't worry about it now. Focus on SuSE

forgot to ask you what boot do you use, LiLo or Grub??
well after i hear from you i am going to install suse...
i hope it install correctly...

Grub is default in SuSE, and BTW I think, personally, the best. Lilo sometimes can seriously mess up your boot sectors

i picked a bad weekquit taking drugs...lol
just kidding don't do drugs well not anymore since the 90's..lol

No need floppy, SuSE comes with nifty selfrepair kit on install CD/DVD. So, go ahead! Don't worry, we'll give you cover fire

that was short install..lol
actually i got stuck on the first screen...
what option do i choose as far as setting up the boot part...
cos the first option was boot from hard drive and it booted me out and i got back into windows...lol
once i get past that part i can take it from there, atleast i hope...lol

You choose installation, abd NOT boot from harddisk
