I would really like to configure the Apparmor software in my suse 10 os. I do not update the basic system that came on the discs. I have asked around a little and the only professional ( and very expensive ) help I could find deals with system administrators with big networks.
I just have my home computer that I alone use. I can run the suse " repair program " to get rid of the stuff that is sometimes put into my " bootloader " but I would like to set up apparmor to stop it from entering my computer in the first place.
I'm old ( and sometimes cranky ) and I am a complete computer illiterate. Somewhere there must be step by step instructions on just how to confige the apparmor program. ( I hope!! )
Frequently, when I am online, my computer will make a faint noise when it is being scanned or a software program is being downloaded into it.
When I turn my computer on suse 10, windows, and this software ( whatever it is ) will be present in the bootloader that flashes on my screen for a brief second.
In order for me to get rid of the intruding software I have to run the suse 10 automatic repair three or four times.
I do not have any idea what the software is doing. I know that it slows my browsers down considerably. It is very annoying to say the least.
I am looking for a way to stop this software from being put into my computer's bootloader.

Rep:
suse 10 apparmor confuguration
I suppose that you ,re online as standard user and not as Root
Because you need Root privilege to change the boot loader
I run also a virus scanner from Avast.com It is standard in the package of
suse 10.3 ,if it is not in suse 10 you can download.
You need to registry the home version is free off charge.
If I can come up with more I let you know
Maybe it wise to update because in updates are also security fixes.
