So I recently built a new PC and installed Vista and Suse 10.3 on the primary hard drive (in separate partitions, of course).

I am having a problem when I select "Suse 10.3" from the Grub menu in that it hangs and never boots. If I go into the system BIOS and disable and then re-enable legacy drive support on the hard drive controller, the boot into Suse works as expected. I can also generally reboot Suse over and over, so long as I don't boot Vista. As soon as I boot into Vista, I have to go through the BIOS routine again to get the Suse boot to work.

I should mention that I can always boot using the Suse safe boot (or whatever Suse calls it) but once I get to the text-based login, I am stuck because the "safe mode" does not seem to recognize my wireless USB keyboard. (The graphical login does recognize the keyboard, as does Grub.)

Any thoughts?

Shuttle SG33G5 XPC barebone system
Intel® G33 Express Chipset with HDMI (HDCP)
Core 2 Duo E4500 processor
2 GB DDR2 RAM at 800 MHz
(2) SATA 500GB hard drives (Seagate)
(1) SATA DVD-RW drive
