Hi all,
The more I use suse 10.2 the more I am saddened by the menu design..
This is not one of those serious problems but just something I do not care for..You have to go thru one closed door to get to another closed door to see if what you are looking for is there or not..I liked the old way much better..
I looked to see if I could change it back with the menu editor but was unable to do so..
I wonder how many users like or dislike it..Your thoughts?
jolphil
Do you mean the one in KDE or the one in GNOME? If you right click on the menu button in KDE, there is an option there to revert to the old menu. Personally I like the new menus in both GNOME and KDE on SUSE. What I dislike in the GNOME menu is the need for a completely new window to open in order for you to access an item from the menu,
Why are you even wasting our time posting this at us?
Go configure the menu to look like the OLD one if you hate the new one so much...you inefficient monkey! It's not exactly hard to do. I'm not even going to bother telling you how to.
Go look for yourself. It IS there.

I looked to see if I could change it back with the menu editor but was unable to do so..
Actually it is quite clear that he did not see that it could be changed.
Right click kicker
Left click "Configure Panel..."
Left click "Menus" on the left side of the window
At the very top of the window choose "KDE" from the dropdown menu labeled "Start Menu Style"
