SUSE 10.1 Rug Resolver Failed errors
 

Hi

I did a fresh install of SuSE 10.1 today and I'm having some problems with the new online updater. It's determined that I need 2 updates:

kms-pc:~ # rug lu

When I try to install the updates I get the following error:

kms-pc:~ # rug update
Resolving Dependencies...

ERROR: Dependency resolution failed:
Resolver Failed

I'd appreciate any advice anyone might have.

Lots of people are having problems with this new updater. Command line is supposed to work best, but 'best' isn't necessarily 'well'. There's a long post at planetsuse.org with some tips on how to get it working better, but realistically people are waiting for the SUSE team to update the new updater. How one might download any updates is another question!

I too am now having this problem, after having used the updater successfully for a while now. I don't know what went wrong, but it's fubar now. Can't update anything. :confused:
