SUSE 10.1 remastered "No sound" problem

Hi,

I downloaded the Suse 10.1 remastered cds and converted them into a DVD using MakeSuseDVD. Installed Suse. I then installed libxine1 and w32codecs-all from packman repository and tried to play sound. Amarok looks like its playing, but no sound comes out. Sound works fine in the windows partition.

Tried playing files with mplayer, get a picture, but no sound.

The card is detected as GA-7VAX onboard audio (Realtek ALC650). Here is the result of hwinfo --sound:
Code:
25: PCI 11.5: 0401 Multimedia audio controller
  [Created at pci.300]
  UDI: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pci_1106_3059

  Module Alias: "pci:v00001106d00003059sv00001458sd0000A002bc04sc01i00"
  Driver Info #0:
Driver Status: via82cxxx_audio is not active
    Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe via82cxxx_audio"
  Driver Info #1:
    Driver Status: snd_via82xx is active
    Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe snd_via82xx"
  Config Status: cfg=yes, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown
Any ideas?

I did a fresh install (instead of upgrading from 10.0) and that seems to have solved the problem.
