suse reboot before proceeding to CD2, why like that?

Dont know, but SUSE has always done that, and probably will do that also in the future...

Will not happen with the dvd. The 5 disks are a pain especially since I loaded the kernel source had to have about 7 insertions.

Need a simple way of taking the 5 cd iso's and making 1 dvd, maybe K3B should add this as an extra tool?

I have installed SUSE 10.1 alpha. I do not reccomend it. There is a lot of packages missing, it is not possible to update with yast, because there are no URLs, you can install apt4suse, but there is only one rpm mirror (university bremen). I removed it and installed SuSE 9.3 pro again. It is still the best distro until (may be) we see the new SUSE 10.1.

I have been testing SUSE 10.0 beta3, beta4 and RC1. All of them were better than alpha.LOL.

suse 10.1 alpha 4 was out, did u try it?

I'm lazy to burn the 5CDs for my notebook,
but i already have Suse 10.0 RC1 CDs,
do you think it is good enough for my notebook?
