DON'T YOU JUST HATE THAT.
A few other thing that common resellers/builders do which bothers me
-Only provide one case front USB when the board allows for 2 or more.
-Use a regular IDE cable so you can't use ATA, like we won't find out (I had to call Dell on this for about a dozen machines, where I work)
-A while back Dell used to "forget" to give you a DVI cable for that expensive workstation you bought.

Nope
Dell is a bad example. Looking inside a Dimension 8400 and you'll see a clean designed and easy expandable system. Even additional SATA cable, mount kits for floppy drives and hard drives and power plugs are available. The only thing that's missing is the CD audio cable, which isn't required to run a CD player in Windows.
But you're right. Printers without USB cables (Canon) and digital cameras without rechargable batteries (Nikon Coolpix 3200) are verry common. Thanks good, Samsung now ships the DVI cable with its actual LCD monitors that have a DVI input.
