how well smart works

Hi to the nice team I have just installed the smart .. and i have some questions.
a)Have u ever faced any problems cause u have used smart? e.x broken packages... broken package database... system inconstability
b)What should i do in smart's proposals? For example it smart suggested me to remoev the wine packages... What should i do.. generally accept or deny?

I want to install the Pyzor, and DCC packages in order to make my spamassasin to work. I have just installed the smart but i cant find those pacakges
a)Where i should search for smart repositories that have that packages
b)How i add the repositories to smart
c)How i update my package database
Thx a lot

Well, it says "Please use a mirror", so *use* a mirror FCOL.

All mirrors are listed on the opensuse website. All you need to do is run the smart gui, go to "Edit", select the repos you want to change and put in new entries for the mirrors. There is a good guide for using SMART at the openSUSE website.

I love smart. The biggest problem I have had is the GUI crapping out and mysteriously closing itself, forcing me to kill the task and restart the program. This can, or course, be avoided by doing everything from the CLI, but the bug itself is pretty rare.

viel gluck,

J
