samba problems with suse 10

samba server starts up
samba client connects to localhost

but samba wont let me connect to any windows share

samba is configured correctly
all firewalls are open

i click on the networked computers icon in suse... then windows network

i see the workgroups.. but i get an error that the contents cannot be shown

and smbclient says connection failed

i looked at my log files for smb client, smbd, and the netbios log... no errors...

anyone have any ideas/.

see carefully your smb.conf :
map bad user to guest
and guest can browse.
or login in windows with the user defined in samba
