retrieving mp3 playback on 9.3 pro?

I'm using SUSE 9.3 pro, and of course don't have mp3 support for the better apps like amarok. Is there a way to get the multimedia option packs via RPM, or anything besides YOU. I don't have an internet connection through linux because of my ridiculous winmodem.

Suse 9.3 is now crippled like fedora, no mp3 playback included (except realplayer), for legal reasons.

But it is very easy to fix, just start "Yast" - "online update" and install "Multimedia Option Pack 1" That will fix mp3 playback.
There are also multimedia option packs 2-4, they are for some other crippled media stuff, i just installed them all.
If you don't see this as a option then go to a mirror outsite USA.

I am having the same problem... I can play CDs no problem with KsCD, but when I try to play mp3 files, there is no audio... ?

I have installed the Multimedia Packs (all 4 of them) available on YOU... but still no sound when trying to play mp3s... I've searched around these forums and on google, and most people have had success after adding these multimedia packs... but not me

Does anyone have any suggestions / ideas / solutions as to what I can do to get my music back??
Also, I regularly listen to mp3 streams on www.di.fm (if you like trance and electronic music... check it out!!!) and was wondering what program I should use for the mp3 streams? (Once I can play an mp3 from my laptop first of course...)

Thanks in advance

Google for "Suse multimedia rebuild", or "fixing suse multimedia".

I have a link bookmarked at home, but I'm at work now (It's sunday, I know... :-( ) I'll post it when I get home later today.
