Resources

I just installed Suse 9.2 and had a question about memory resources. I am currently using 246/249 MB of RAM, as well as 40/390 SWAP. Is this normal for Suse to be using this much Memory? Needless to say, this is running quite slow with frequent crashes.

Is there a way to print a list of what services are running. I have ran top -b -n1 > file.txt. But also what's running under /etc/init.d without having to check the status of each one.
