1) Insert the Windows install CD (2000 or XP) -- let it start initial load
2) enter 'R' for Windows Recovery when prompted (I think it's 'R' but you should get an option Repair / Recover or Install Windows --been a while since I've done this.

3) Start recovery console -- you'll get a prompt Login to window.

4) at the C> prompt (or wherever you've got Wndows installed) type FIXMBR

5) re-boot --system will now reboot into Windows -- no need to re-install.

Now you can delete / resize partitions.

If your machine came with Windows pre-installed it might ask for an admin password when using the Windows XP CD.

If that happens and you can't remember the password use a Windows 2000 CD -- it doesn't ask for a password.

Cheers
