Rebuilding hardware raid-1 under open suse
Hello,
Recently I installed OpenSuse 11.1 on a system with hardware RAID. Motherboard information is as following :
Manufacturer: "Intel Corporation"
Product: "DG45ID"
RAID-1 was configured using BIOS based option which is accessible in intel mother boards with option CTRL + I. After that I made partitions and installed OS and everything went fine and system was up and working fine. However few days back, to ensure that RAID is working properly one of my colleague unplugged one HDD physically from system and started the system. RAID-1 configuration was degraded but system started properly, so he plugged that HDD back. However, now RAID status in Intel boot screen is shown as "REBUILD" that means that RAID need to be re-built. I looked on intel's site and found that Intel Matrix manager software is used to rebuild hardware raid, but that seems for Windows only.
Any idea how I can rebuild the RAID and gain "NORMAL" state back with OpenSuse. Since the system is used as a file serves and contains data, its not possible to setup it again from scatch.
Thanks.
