Problems with websites
 

I am using open Suse 10.1. I have it installed on 2 machines actually 3 but I am not using the 3rd machine. Anyways I digress. The problem is that both Konqueror and Firefox will not work with certain website such as ebay and hotmail. When I say will not work I mean. It will go on the site but will hang up endlessly on the login. On my webmail account I can log in but can not send emails. Another thread suggested updating the Java. Which I did.

It helped some what with certain website things. But I still can not get into ebay and hotmail. So I am thinking it may be some thing I am missing. All these work fine in on my slack machine. So it has to be something with suse.


I have googled it and did not find anything relative. But maybe you can do a better job at it. Thank you very much for any help you can give.

Can you try this with firefox, then try to log in again:

Thanks for the suggestion. BUt it seems to be a problem sending data to a secure servers. Maybe I am missing something. Of course I have a deep down itch in my bones it may be related to something with frontpage compatibility. But I can not swear on it.

Perhaps you need to enable cookies for eBay. eBay works fine here with Firefox and Konqueror. Although Konqueror fails to upload pictures when creating an auction, everything else works.
