Problem With DHCP

I went through the steps to install SuSE 9.2 onto a system. I made sure to deactivate the firewall that comes with the OS. When I restarted the workstation to test out the installation, I noticed the ethernet card had problems getting its IP address. I verified that DHCP was configured onto the NIC. Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks.

Try unplugging your modem/router let it reset and then restart network service

root terminal:
# /etc/init.d/.network restart
