there is a problem with my broadband client......

i have a cable / DSL connection......at my home......

i can connect to the internet as ROOT but not as a USER........

i did the installing stuff in both.....root as well as user but no luck......

the software needs to be a user for installation as well as operation.....
but even after i run the software from the konsole after becomin a root (by entering su and then the root password)........it is still not connecting


i don't know what did i do to my root installtion....

what i did ......was........i put the files in the /usr/local/bin directory........

and it is workin fine in root......

i need to understand the concept behind ........exactly where to put files in Linux.....

check your file permisions. The standard user may need to modify the file(s). Try giving the user full rights to the product's folder.
