Problem installing from source

Hey,

I've been trying to install some software from source. I've had the following problem with several packages :
When i run ./configure he stops to tell me that some library isn't installed.
Checked with yast and the thing tells me the library IS installed (including the development packages).
My guess is that wathever ./configure is searching,... he is looking for in the wrong place

Can anyone help me???

thx

You may have to give some configure options to specified the place to look for library.
use ./configure --help for more information about this software

you'll presuambly be missing the matching -devel rpm to allow you to compile against the library, not just use it in a precompiled program.
