Problem in x-window
 

i was downloading something normally,but i found strange problem,
when i tried to log in again as a normal user in GUI it didn't let me in and it gave me this output when i asked "$startx"
"/usr/x11r6/lib/x11/xinit x xserverrc:line 47:cannot create temp file for here document : No space left on device"

fatal server error:
server is already active for display 0
If this server in no longer running: remote /tmp/. x0-lock and start again
please consult the x.org foundation support at http://wiki.x.org for help"

and when i log in in by root in GUI it make me log in normally.

i'm using suse 9.3

Glad to read you can log in as root. When this happened to me, I could only log in as user root in TEXT mode.

In my case, my wife had filed up the hard drive. She did not empty her trash, and had close to 10GBytes of stuff in her trash.

So as user root, try and delete a few things in your /home/MSafty directory (and also in any other user's directory), and then log out as root, and try to login as user MSafty. As soon as you successfully loggin, delete any space consuming files. Especially empty your trash.

Dependant on your SuSE version, you can press <ALT><F2> and then type "kdf" (without the quoations) to see how much disk space is available.
