Normally IE fails while downloading large files.
Try using wget (over cygwin) when downloading large files.

Also ensure that you have enough storage space in the download location.

hemantm are you really telling him to install CygWin ( or mingw) on windows, just to DL the .iso ?

i personally would use fillzilla ( ftp), bittorent , or like
or firefox
but seeing as we DO NOT know what "sdcc619" is using the point is mute .

This is a good point -- could it be simply that you are downloading to a location that has very little available free space?

how about telling ff3 to save to " My Documents "
and get it off the desktop . the desktop is a " special " folder and dl'ing a large 3.9 gig file there might be the problem .
open ff3 and click on " edit / preferences
on the " main " tab ( bottom of the window) set it to c:\Documents and Settings/Your-User-Name/My Documents

also what AV software are you using . Turning it off before you download it might help , if that is what is scanning it at 5%
a MS Windows virus scanner might through an error for linux code( or a .iso) . It plain simply dose not know what to make of it .
