Printer problems with SUSE9.2 upgrade
 

Hi, there,

I upgraded from 9.1 personal version to 9.2 pro yesterday.

Today I can not print.

I got into yast and re-configured the printer but I got the following error messages:

"CUPS daemon died during initialization."

"An error occured while communicating with the CUPS server while saving queue y2test. Error while contacting CUPS server occured "

Could you please help me figure out what the problem is?

One solution might be to back up you data and do a fresh install instead of an update.

Thanks for the advice. I tried to get rid of all the Gnome and print related packages and then reinstalled the print packages and it works ok now(problem partially solved). Maybe a fresh install is better. Just too lazy to backup all the emails.
