Pls help dhcpcd and ifstatus W suse 10
# dhcpcd -d
dhcpcd: MAC address = MyRouterMacAdr dhcpcd: your IP address = 192.168.2.100 The surprise here was 192.168.2.100 since I had done ifconfig eth0 192.168.2.11 and it shows 192.168.2.11 when I do ifconfig enter I wanted to see the log so as root I continued with this and failed # cat /var/run/syslogd.pid cat: /var/run/syslogd.pid: No such file or directory # cat /var/log/dhcpcd.log cat: /var/log/dhcpcd.log: No such file or directory ifstatus eth0 tells me I need to setup a config for eth0 Can anyone help me do that for an ADSL2 modem router? Please just answer with exact cmd options variable(s) if you can. That is the quickest way to understand. |
Probably didn't want me to answer. So I won't....but here's a link for what you want.
http://www-uxsup.csx.cam.ac.uk/pub/d...t.manconf.html Also here's the link to the SuSE Administration Guide, which is what the previous link is from. http://www-uxsup.csx.cam.ac.uk/pub/d...t.manconf.html Hope you find success. Peace v |
Really good Suse 9.3 admin guide
Thanks,
This is great stuff. I'll poke around and see if I can find the same thing for Suse 10. |
