OpenSUSE 11.3 What is my bootloader and how to get boot codes please?


I'm a linux newbie and I'm having trouble with the soundcard- it keeps looping! I'm getting help from someone on LinuxQuestions but he doesn't use this operating system, so he wants to know if I can find out

"... what is your bootloader and how to get boot codes please?

Should be (legacy) grub - try these commands
Code:
grub-install -v
cat /boot/grub/menu.lst
May require root access.
