no sound with KsCD

Got a Soundblaster Live 24-bit card, regcognized as ca0106.
All sound plays OK except for KsCD.
It plays but there is no sound.
In Slack and Debian I can enable direct digital play in KsCD's config.
In Suse10.0 this checkbox is missing :confused:
Any ideas ?

You could try installing Alsa with the OSS drivers, or connect an analog cable from the CD drive to the sound card.

Well, Alsa with oss is installed.
I just installed xmms and after configuration I have sound from my CD-player.
Had to enable direct digital play.
I still don't understand why direct digital play is not possible in Suse's KsCD :confused:
Don't want to go under the 'hood' (yet) and meddle with a cable to get this feature :D
