No Graphical Interface after Video Card Switch

I switched my videocards on SuSe 10.0. Both are NVIDIA. One was on older PCI one and this new one is PCI Express. Now, when I boot up it won't go into KDE. It let's me log in via text mode but I see nothing but text and a blue bar at the bottom. Do I have to reinstall nvidia drivers? I just got my sound to work and I figured I'd upgrade my vid card cause I had a friend give me one and now I can't see anything. I'm pretty new to linux. Any quick help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

First, try to reconfigure the card. Login as root and type 'init 3' to change the runlevel to textmode. Now type 'sax2' and go through the configuration dialogs. Save and exit. Now change to 'init 5' or type 'startx' to check the new settings.

If this doesn't help, you may need to reinstall the driver. Type 'yast' to get into command-line YaST. Start 'Online Update' and install the driver again.
