No acceptable C compiler?
 
Whenever I try to install a program from source I get this error after entering the ./configure command into the command line "no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH" can anyone help me with this? it also said to see the 'config.log' file fore details but its jibberish to me.....

thx for any help... :)

Try installing gcc (and whatever other packages it requires) from your CDs or SuSe's package manager. I've never used SuSe, so I wouldn't know how to use it's package manager (YaST?). This question does come up a lot, so if you do a search, you're probably likely to find some SuSe specific threads.

Install the package selection "Development".
