Angry NIC card problem on SUSE 11.1 64bit

Hi,

for some time now I have been trying to resolve the following problem:

My system is dual boot system Windows / testing version and SUSE11.1 64bit version. The problem as seen from SUSE side is that I can not connect to web through the additional NIC (TP-LINK Gigabite card), but I can without problems, connect through onboard NVIDIA card. I had to install that additional card because Windows7 can not connect through onboard LAN card (that is a known bug in Windows 7 - the card is recognized and the drivers are set but the error message is that the cble is unplugged but of course it is not). In SUSE the card is also recognized, the firewall is opened for both cards but there is no connection. Sometimes, when I go through the YAST Network devices setup - only to check not to change anything, it connects and stays connected all the time. After reboouting, again there is no connection and I have to switch the cable to the onboard LAn card.

Any suggestions??

More or less I had the same problem as you do I resolve it by using two cables to my router one for windosz the
other for linux it was not nice but it works
Both cables where connected to the router and the PC at the same time

Yes ronlau, that is the solution. I did the same. But I wonder why is it so and if there is a solution.
