Network Problems

Hi everyone,

I've got three NICs running on my pc but only one is connected. I'm behind a proxy at uni but can't connect. I thought disabling the card and re-enabling it again might work, but I can't seem to find where to do this? I'm pretty new to SuSE (well installed it last night after downloading all 5discs), so go easy

I also have a USB problem, but I think I might leave that to another thread.

thanks,
Dan

1. Start Yast2
2. Go to networking
3. Networking cards and try to configure them.

hmm, think I may have had something plugged in wrong. Still can't get outside the uni though and I'm pretty damn sure the proxy settings are correct.

...just had a look at my proxy settings on both computers again, on here (windows, firefox) its got the address as "wwwcache.aber.ac.uk" and http://wwwcache.aber.ac.uk for the SuSE box. is ther anyway of getting it to point to the correct address? as I don't think it needs the http:// bit... or does it?
