Network link not be detected while Auto Negotiate = Off


O.S : Sles 9
NIC : Broadcom 5721 Controller

Problem:

1.When the server is booted with network setting as 100 Full-Duplex Auto Negotiate Off the network link cannot be detected

2. When the server is set with network settings to 1000 Full-Duplex Auto Negotiate Off the network link is still not detected -

3. When the server is set with network setting to Auto Negotiate On the network link was detected

Kindly help
