Net not working on Dialup on SuSE 10.0

HI all

I recently installed conexant modem drivers and then installed modem /dev/modem0. At first when I connect through KInternet dialer, everything worked just fine. But now i try to connect the internet, my firefox, mozilla or gaim is unable to browse. i dont what has messed up. i even disabled the lan card but it didnt have any positive effects. I use SuSE 10.0. can anyone of you relate to me their experiences with some advice?

Thanks
