NDS on old Suse?

I am working on an old Suse installation, kernel version 2.4.4-4GB.

is there a DNS server software bundled with this version? where can I look up things like this?

kernel version doens't matter, which version of suse is it? And best way to look, is to check on the disks, or check online with an old suse faq or software list. Just check on the disk, my guess is yes, almost all versions I can recall since at least 6 do have a DNS server software.

but I don't know what that DNS software would be called. can someone hand me a url for looking up Suse software list?

http://www.google.com but you will need to know what SuSE version it is to do a good search. If it is bootable already, load it up and on the GRUB screen you will see which version of SuSE it is.
