I did things in this order:
Code:
# ln -s /bin/mythbackend /etc/init.d/rc5.d/mythbackend
and
Code:
# /etc/init.d/mythbackend start
and
Code:
YaST --> System --. System Services (Runlevel)
The system tells me that the
mythbackend is running at startup. And infact I see done during the startup phase with regard to mythbackend. However, when I run
mythfrontend (from the icon or the console), when I select
Watch TV it asks whether the backend is running. I then have to manually run the backend from a console for Myth to work. Why is it not starting as the System Services suggests?
And the Expert Mode tells me that it is "running" in init/runlevels 3 and 5.
