mplayer has no sound

I have sound in general, just not when I play wmv files using the mplayer I installed last night. How do I get it back? The mplayer equalizer looks fine, and the sound is plenty loud for Frozen Bubble. (And why did installing it using Yast wipe out my Firefox bookmarks and home page?)

Hmm, I haven't tried that yet. As soon, or if, my kids get done with this computer, I'll give it a shot.

I've got a few hours now! Here is what I get:

I seemed to have "solved" it. I'm not sure what I did. Everything looked good in the Yast2 sound part. I just dorked around with xine, pretty much randomly clicking things, and then it started working. I assume mplayer does too, although now that I know how to play a wmv file with xine, I don't need it.
