more 10.0 usb woes
I recently re-installed 10.0 OSS on my system, getting rid of my 3GB windows partition completely. After a bunch of little issues that I figured out myself, I am completely stumped. I installed from a USB cdrom drive, and that worked fine. In the partiton options, it detected the two USB drives that are connected to my laptop. Then after the install is completed, I look at "My Computer" it shows all my USB devices...but when I click them
Code:
Could not mount device. Code:

you have a usb card plugged in now? do you have a mount point for the usb? unplug the usb and plug it back in. then type dmesg. Also make sure your /mnt matches fstab
The results from dmesg are network messages. |
since I can't edit my post... :P
lsusb shows nothing at all: Code:
# lsusb Code:
# lspci |
Did you try unplugging and plugging the usb stick?
try this at a prompt # lsscsi |
lssci = same as lsbusb
here's some stuff from the very top of dmesg: Code:
PCI: Using IRQ router default [1106/3177] at 0000:00:11.0 |
