During attempts to compile from source I get...

"checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!"

The X includes are part of the xorg-x11-develop package, but when I try to install it with Yast I get...

"This would invalidate atom:freetype2-devel..."

A Google search for "atom:freetype2-devel" produces no hits. There is a freetype2-devel package available in Yast but it has not been installed. How can there be a conflict with something not installed?

Does anyone know what this means and how I can work around it?

Have you tried refreshing your YAST installation sources and then installing the xorg devel files?
