missing librare qt-mt

I am running SuSe 9.3 pro x86_64. I recently came accross this error when trying to install kpackman for my kids:

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1.0) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

I checked on kde.org and the suggestion is to either configure QT with thread support or use this configure string:
./configure --with-qt-dir=/usr/local/qt/ --with-qt-includes=/usr/local/qt/include/ --with-qt-librries=/usr/local/lib/

However, I cannot find where the QT source is. And I don't have the source DVD.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

You can add yast repositories to install from the Net in place of the DVD.
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=253645

This may help you to configure it.
It is the way a add new program on my system.

You may also try to find a rpm and install it from site like http://rpm.pbone.net/ (with advanced search - SuSE 9.x)

Good luck.

boy I was hoping for some advice here. Perhaps I should have chosen a forum that is more general. Maybe one of the moderators will pick up on this and let me either repost or move this post the general forum
