Mail server


hiii can anyone suggest me the steps to create our own mail server on opensuse....

Yes. Install either postfix or sendmail, and configure them. Try "zypper install postfix" or "zypper install sendmail" (as root), and it should install them for you.

Really, there's not much else anyone can tell you, since you're asking a VERY vague question. Postfix and sendmail are the two most popular mail servers for Linux, and setup/configuration guides for them are VERY easily found on Google. So, pick one, install it, and configure it. Without knowing what your environment is, what options you need, security, or even what version of openSUSE you're using, etc., there's nothing much else we can say.

dear i dnt want sendmail and postfix dat all i want to setup my own server dats wat m askin for...... if u cn please help me..

Spell out your words...that text-speak junk isn't nice for anyone.

And in your VERY FIRST POST, you asked how to set up your own mail server...that's what I told you. A mail server uses postfix or sendmail...if you don't want them, then you're confused about what you need. How about telling us what you're trying to accomplish?
