locate command missing

hi all,
I installed suse9.2 on my AMD64 computer. there is no "locate" command found. I couldn't find it from Yast. how do I install locate from the CD/DVD ?

Thanks

You need to install the findutils-locate rpm package.
locate itself is then installed under /usr/bin
(/usr/bin/locate) .
Install the rpm package from your CD/DVD via YAST or download it
for the x86_64 architecture from the SuSE FTP server:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.2/suse/x86_64/
File: findutils-locate-4.1.20-2.x86_64.rpm
and install it via rpm -Uhv
