Hi,
I have installed ASE Sybase Server 12.5.3 on SuSE Linux 9.0 machine. According to the SYBASE certification information ASE 12.5.3 is certified on SuSE Linux 9.0. Yet when I compile my application I get the following error message among other similar messages:

/opt/sybase/OCS-12_5/lib/libsybtcl_r.a(ng_driv.o)(.text+0x130d): In function `sybnet_next_driver':
: undefined reference to `__ctype_tolower'

I have seen number of similar postings on other flavors of Linux also and all the responses seem to be pointing at an incompatible version of glibc.

Anybody having a similar experience on SuSE Linux 9.0 and have managed to resolve the issue????
