LDAP not binding


I have a quz.. WHen I start the ldap service and when I look back in the yast, ldap is off, can anyone give me a good reason why this is happen? Just because of this the ldap can't bind and I can move on, I can't run smbldap-populate, if ldap is off I can't move on. NEED ANYBODY HELP!!!!!!

What does the log say when attempting the LDAP bind? Are you sure your machine is correctly connected to your domain? Is Samba configured properly to connect into the domain and do you have network connectivity to your LDAP server? And finally, are you sure the LDAP bind credentials are correct?
