Laptop overheating with SuSe9.2
 

Hello
Today I installed SuSe 9.2 on my Compaq Armada 1700 laptop. Well to cut a long story short after unscrewing the thing to check the fan ( resulting in a table full of little black screws) I started tweaking the various procs for ACPI.

Frustrated, I started win2000 and the fan started. My answer must lie somewhere in ACPI as SuSe 9.1 is fine on the laptop.

I would appreciate a suggestion.
