Keyboard anomalies w/SuSE 9.1
I have been a loyal SuSE Linux user since version 8.0. Since I recently moved up to ver. 9.1, I have encountered more annoying anomalies than ever.
Most perplexing is with the keyboard: the right-hand Alt key does not appear to function. It becomes very frustrating when invoking the Alt+F2 combination to launch the Run Command dialog. Also, the quotes key (to the right of letter S) no longer functions correctly. I need to strike it twice for the desired character to appear. It also inadvertantly can put accent marks over characters if I strike this key and type a vowel character (example: Ä, ë, ï, ó, ú). As a test, I switched the mapping to Dvorak and all of the characters appear to work correctly.
Here is the difference in the quote and appostrophe characters reporting in QWERTY and Dvorak respectively: ¨This is Joe´s sample.¨ & "This is Antonin's sample."
The Dvorak keyboard mapped characters should appear much more robust and prominent above. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you in advance.
