KDE 3.4 -- konqueror detailed list errors

Good lord!

I am running SUSE 9.2, installed off of the FTP-DVD. I recently updated kde to 3.4 using YAST and one of the SUSE mirrors (gatech I think). After trying out the HighContrastDark theme, my text in konqueror detailed list view and desktop is permanently messed up. No amount of switching themes or fonts seems to fix this. Symptoms are:

1. All text on the desktop appears in black with white outline
2. In Konqueror Detailed List View, every other line has a black background.

Has anyone had any experience like this?
Is there a way to return to the default theme for Suse 9.2?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Have you posted to bugs.kde.org? More likely to get help there

Thanks -- it turns out that the HighContrastDark theme set the "Alternative Background in Lists" color to black. And no other theme reset it. It took me a while to find that color setting which is in the "Colors" section of ControlCenter. I still have no idea why my desktop fonts are black -- but Im not worried about it.
