java plugin suse 11.0 64 bit version
 

I have searched the forum all over for a java plugin for Firefox on the 64 bit suse version. Does this exist?

Yes, but in my experience it doesn't work. For java and flash to work on firefox install the 32-bit versions of all three.

hy galliar. i am using suse 11.0 64 bits. i was looking hours for java plugin for my firefox 3 and finally found. and it is working now for me. but i cant remember the site. i remember i installed 3 packets. i ll search for site as i remember how it looks, and i ll post the link. but the thing is: it is working!!!!

java-1_6_0-openjdk
java-1_6_0-openjdk-plugin

search for this is software manager and install. please let us know if it is working, so it will help others.

I've spent hours trying to fix this and your post was the answer.!

I'm using SuSe 11 64 bit. I just ran Yast and Software Management and searched for "java-1_6" and selected the two files you mentioned.

And java now works within Firefox.
