iTunes plugin for Banshee.../configure will not...

find the /src directory. According to the install notes a ./configure, make and make install should be all I need to do (generic instructions). When I run the configure script/program I get the following error:

linux_fan@linux-2wrl:~/banshee-itunes-plugin> ./configure
configure: error: cannot find sources (README) in . or ..

After I unpacked the original file, Banshee created the banshee-itunes-plugin directory...inside that dir is folder named src...
Why cant/doesnt configure find the 'sources'/'src' directory?

Help for Banshee user's would be great...and all others fanastic(sp?)
