Is there a better equalizer for Amarok?

Hi.

Thanks to RedShirt (thank you very much!) my Amarok in SuSE 10.0 plays mp3s. This is very good an the player itself is outstanding, but I have a little problem with the equalizer. It's very bad. If I set a preset, the music will be more quiet then before, and it not sounds that good, like in XMMS. Is there a kind of trick or something to improve the equalizer or making the music sound better? I like Amarok very much. I need it. Please help me. Thank you.

To the left of the graphic EQ there is another slider which raises or lowers the sound level which is to be considered the "0db" reference point, however this still won't get the level where you want it. The Equalizer portion of amaroK really does suck.
