Is it possible to install rpms from the YaST control center?

Right click on rpm /select actions/ select install from yast. there is a good selection of suse rpms at rpmfind.net. hope this helps

if you click add a new install source, then point it to a folder with rpms in it, yast will then give you access to install and remove these rpms on "install/remove software packages"
