IPv6 Over IPV4 Tunnel Suse 9.1
IPV6 Over IPV4 Tunnel ( post #1)
Im have been trying to set up a ipv6 over ipv4 tunnel on one of my Suse Linux 9.1 server's. The tunnel is all set up and localhost ::1 is replying fine from ping6 and so do all other ipv6 ip's but when i try to ping remote hosts on the Internet i get.
p0rnstar:~ # ping6 goethe.freenode.net
PING goethe.freenode.net(sterling.freenode.net) 56 data bytes
ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted
ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted
Now taking into account that i have set up another tunnel on a mirror system and using the same Distro Suse 9.1 and using the same iptable Rules etc and everything is running fine so the iptable firewall is allowing it i have also edited
LightStar:~ # ping6 goethe.freenode.net
PING goethe.freenode.net(2001:898:2000:3::1) 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 2001:898:2000:3::1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=152 ms
64 bytes from 2001:898:2000:3::1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=57 time=147 ms
It is most likly to be somthing stupid but i have been working on this server for some time now Xhours and was hoping somone may be able to give a hand.
All Thanks in Advanced
