iPod on SLED

Hello! I just got the 30gb Apple iPod (Black) video and now am trying to connect it to my SLED box. I plug it in via USB and it seems like SLED does not see it. How do i make SLED see the iPod? Thanks for any help

Make sure you have SCSI modules loaded into your kernel, that's a start. On Zenwalk those modules weren't loaded by default and I had to manually load them. After that use Amarok to control your iPod.

Thanks for the reply but how do i make sure the SCSI modules are loaded into the kernel? What is ZenWalk? I use SLED which, i think, uses some type of Zen but not sure if it is ZenWalk.

OK, i think i got it to mount, well, it shows up on my desktop anyway. When i click on the icon, i get this error;
mount: unknown filesystem type 'HFS+'
In my /etc/fstab, i changed from hfs+ to vfat and get the same error with both of them.
Can anyone help?

Are you running Gnome / KDE?

Do you have libipoddevice or kio_ipodslave installed?

libipoddevice should allow the HAL to mount etc.
